Morro Bay Ca Parade of Boats!

Morro Bay Ca and the parade of lighted boats is a great way to spend a December evening on the Central Coast.  Christmas in any coastal town is great but we  loved taking the grandkids to the boat parade.

Every December all the boats in the harbor are decorated with Christmas lights and taken on a slow stroll through the harbor.
You can find Santa on just about every boat and a crowd of people yelling Merry Christmas.  They put on a good show and the kids and adults alike love the Christmas atmosphere the parade creates.  It is a ton of fun and a chance to do something free on the Central Coast of California.

This year we went early and found a great parking spot close to the shops selling hot chocolate, ice cream and soda.  Hey, you have to buy the grandkids something sweet to eat while watching the parade.

We had the greatest time watching the kids react to the boats, listening to Christmas music and enjoying life. We suggest that next year, if you are visiting the coast, be sure to make time to watch the Morro Bay Ca Parade of Boats.
