Camping can be the greatest adventure you and your children ever have. If you have never taken your kids camping let me suggest you give it a shot. If you don't have children camping can still be a blast. Think about it, you will be out in the open, a camp fire, where permitted, cooking bacon on a camping stove or open fire. I just counted the state parks between Monterey and Pismo, California. I counted 16 state parks. Not all of the state parks have camping areas but many do. Central Coast Camping in one of the many state parks can be fun and exciting, give it a try.
The marvelous thing about Central Coast Camping is most of the parks are on the beach or close to the sea. You kill two birds with one stone. You get the experience of camping and you get the smell of fresh, salt air. Hey, can't beat that combination.

Central Coast Camping is a great choice for your next vacation. San Simeon state park is a better choice and it is close to Cambria, California one of the best towns on the coast.
San Simeon state park is a great place to stay. We, my wife and I, have taken an RV to San Simeon state park on several occasions and we loved it.
