Landing is located on Moonstone
Beach Dr. in Cambria, California. However, the State Park is
called San Simeon State Park.
The park is a nice, calm, quite and beautiful place to stop and enjoy the ocean and barbeque.
From Leffingwell Landing you can see Moonstone Beach, watch surfers and have a picnic all at the same time.
Make sure you pack a jacket because it is always cool on the beach. If you forget your jacket you can stop in Cambria Wildwood and pick up a nice jacket and do a little shopping.
Walk the Trails or the Boardwalk
If you like to hike or walk you can walk through the Monterey Cyrpus trees or walk down the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach.
Leffingwell Landing is great place to take a break on your journey to Hearst Castle or to visit the Elephant Seals.
San Simeon is about 5 miles from Leffingwell Landing. On the way to San Simeon you might just see the Hearst Ranch Zebra. Just look to the right while driving north and you just might see a Zebra mingling with the cattle.
